Estimated Cook Time

Serves

Ingredients

  • 19 0z. BBQ Bob’s Original Sauce (one jar)
  • 2 bottles of Flying Fish Oktoberfish beer
  • 1 cup light brown sugar
  • ½ stick of salted butter
  • 2 tsp. BBQ Bob’s Alpha Rub

Preparation

  1. In deep sauce sauce pan, sauté over medium heat, melt the butter then add both bottles of Oktoberfish beer leaving one sip left to enjoy :)
  2. Simmer over medium/high heat stirring frequently as the beer reduces.
  3. After 5 minutes of reducing add the brown sugar and Alpha Rub. Simmer and reduce further. You want the consistency of a thin syrup.
  4. At this point taste the reduction to make sure the sweetness from the brown sugar, smoothness from the butter and bolder flavors of the beer are well balanced. If not tweak now.
  5. Add the BBQ sauce to the reduction and stir in slowly over medium/low heat.
